Real Wedding: Michelle and Timm

December 19, 2014

This wedding was EXTRA special! What made this day EXTRA special? How very personal the day was and how important it was to the bride and groom to have their families involved.  Timm’s sons were his co-best men, his brother was a groomsmen and his daughter walked him down the aisle and did a reading in the ceremony.  *tissue please* Michelle’s daughter was a junior bridesmaid, and Michelle’s brothers were ushers.  Also, Michelle’s future Uncle is a judge and performed the ceremony.  Talk about keeping in the family!! Every detail of the wedding was planned by Michelle and Timm.

You knew this wedding was going to be special when you opened up the invitations created by For Now and Forever.  They arrive in a little burlap bag.  Nothing traditional here. Check out that image!

This wedding’s theme was BEER!! No lie!! The wedding program was SO cute:  The Perfect Brew-Michelle & Timm.  Head Brew master: The Judge.  Master Brewers of the Bride: Brides parents.  Beer Maiden of Honor.  Beer Maids.  Jr. Root Beer Girl: Flower girl.  When you went to find your seat, your table had little home brewed bottles of beer with hand drawn labels saying:  I DO!  October Fest Brew or Hops, Hearts & Herman Lager Co. String about it held the little tag that read “Eat, Drink and be Married-Michelle & Timm” with the date on one side and guest’s table number on the other.  Favors on the table were purple bottle koozies.  You know those that keep your soda or bottled beer cold?!  On the front of the koozie it had: “to have and to hold and to keep your beer cold”. (Name/date).  There was even hops in the bouquets and boutonnieres! What crazy fun!

I can’t say enough good things about The Rotunda, the wedding venue, or Chef Jack’s Catering, the wedding caterer!  They were fantastic and they were on top of everything the bride, groom, and guests needed.  The venue was just beautiful and had a lot of character, not just a square room.  It was the first place Michelle and Timm looked, and they knew right away that they wanted to get married there.  An interesting bit of history – The Rotunda was the first post office in Waukesha – even more interesting, Michelle’s parents are retired postal workers.  The bride and groom thought that was an compelling detail about that particular venue.  The food was absolutely delicious and there were a lot of compliments on it from the guests throughout the night.  The dinner included chicken and steak – a great idea especially since it meant Michelle and Timm only had to keep track of ONE dinner option.

The wedding cake was a chocolate and cheese torte layer cake with raspberry filling.  They went with a stacked off center square design beautifully executed by Sweet Perfections Bake Shoppe.  The Rotunda also served each piece with a chocolate covered strawberry.  For the midnight snack they had pizza served from Rosatti’s.  I am assuming it was a hit because there were NO leftovers!  When you were done with the midnight snack you could hop on over to the photo booth by ShutterBooth.  The guests seemed to have a really great time with it, there was a line the WHOLE night!

The florist, Trablume, did a beautiful job on the bouquets and centerpieces.  Michelle had NO idea what she wanted flower wise.  So, Michelle gave Trablume a couple pictures of things she liked, the color of her bridesmaid’s dresses and a basic idea of what Timm and her wanted to do with their centerpieces and Trablume came up with the rest!

Muzic in Motion provided the entertainment for the evening.  They had separate sessions for the reception and ceremony which Timm and Shelly found really helpful in the planning process.  They were professional and keep the crowd dancing all night!

The photographer for this special wedding was Dennis Felber Photography.  Michelle and Timm really enjoyed working with Dennis Felber and couldn’t have been happier with how the photos turned out!  They chose Dennis Felber as their photographer because a number of his photos were featured on the Rotunda’s website.   They just really liked his style and thought he did a nice job of showcasing the character of the Rotunda and the wedding parties in his pictures.

This truly was a fun day! There were numerous compliments throughout the evening about how great the venue was and all the attention to detail.  Knowing that your guests were enjoying themselves made it easier for Michelle and Timm to just relax and have fun.  Congratulations Michelle and Timm – thank you for sharing your special day!
