Traci and Adam marry at Terrace 167 in Richfield

Traci & Adam’s Heartfelt & Handcrafted Wedding at Terrace 167

May 20, 2019

Traci and Adam met through mutual friends in college and clicked instantly. They dated for eight years before Adam took Traci down to Chicago’s Navy Pier for a day of riding the ferris wheel, basking in the city, and, in the end, asking her to be his bride. “Adam told me how much fun he’d had that day and that he wanted to spend the rest of our lives making memories just like this.”

The two planned an October wedding at Terrace 167. The vibe was a mix of industrial and the outdoors with a color palette of navy and grey with gold accents. The ceremony was held outside at sunset. “We had all eight of our nieces and nephews stand up in the wedding. Our favorite part was being so surrounded by loved ones. We knew it would be pretty cold out, so we had a warming station with blankets and hand warmers to help guests stay toasty.”

Traci says the Terrace 167 reception space was the perfect blend of her and Adam’s style. “The chandeliers were elegant and the barn wood tables and industrial touches were beautiful. Terry and Stephanie at Terrace 167 were so great at communicating throughout the planning process. They made sure everything went according to plan; we didn’t have to worry about anything.”

Adam and Traci ended up making a lot of their decorations. “Adam is a carpenter,” Traci says. “We cut wooden blocks and used decals to write the table numbers. We made a welcome sign and seating chart, along with many others. We also used hexagon marble tiles to write everyone’s name on for their place cards. We had so many kids at our wedding, we also made a kids pale for each one with a custom word search, coloring pages, and other things to keep them busy.”

“We loved looking around and seeing all of our signs and details that we made come together.” In addition to all their handcrafted pieces, Traci and Adam worked with Well Dressed Tables to outfit the space with extra-special necessities, such as gold cutlery. “The design of the space and the table decor was everything we dreamed and more!”
