What to Expect for 2025’s Wonderful World of Weddings Show

Wonderful World of Weddings

December 11, 2024

Attend Milwaukee’s Wonderful World of Weddings Show, January 4th and 5th, for All Your Wedding Needs

Because there are endless possibilities for your wedding, trying to make choices and plans can start to feel stressful and overwhelming. That’s where The Wonderful World of Weddings Show saves the day. You’ll find the best wedding vendors and ideas under one roof in a fun, hands-on setting at the Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wis. The show opens its doors for two days only: Saturday and Sunday, January 4 and 5, 2025, and it will feature more than 100 exhibitors.

“Each year, we gather the most sought-after vendors, venues, and visionary wedding-focused professionals from all over southeastern Wisconsin,” says Show Director Amanda Falk. “Our show draws attendees from all over Wisconsin and northern Illinois who come to gather ideas for making their dream day a reality.”

Here’s what attendees can expect:

Wedding Dresses and Tuxedos, plus Choreographed Fashion Shows. Local boutiques will show off their range of wedding dresses, bridesmaid gowns, and tuxedos at the show. Once each day, attendees can also watch bridal fashions come to life on professional actors, dancers, and models during a choreographed wedding fashion show.

Wedding Cakes and Caterers. If you’re undecided about the food to serve at your reception, you’ll have a chance to taste test a variety of desserts, wedding cake samples, and delicacies from local restaurants and caterers. Bartenders will share their ideas, too!

Floral Bouquets and Centerpieces. The number of floral options will surprise you. Attendees will experience the beauty and scents of bouquets and centerpieces presented by florist exhibitors.

Photographers and Videographers. Parts of your big day may go by in a blur. You’ll want to find the perfect photographer and videographer to capture every moment to be cherished for years to come. At the show, you can speak to talented local photographers, browse their portfolios, and discuss the vision for your wedding day to see if you “click.”

Venues and Transportation for the Wedding…and the Honeymoon. One of the biggest wedding decisions, choosing where to hold your wedding and reception, can be daunting. Talk to representatives from local venues to get a feel for what will meet your needs. Limousine and group transportation services and honeymoon travel agents will also be on hand to answer your questions and offer guidance.

DJs, Musicians, and More. If you are seeking ideas about music for the ceremony and the reception, DJs, string quartets, harpists, brass quintets, and more will be at the show to inspire you and help you make that decision.

A Complimentary “Bridal Bag” for All Attendees. In addition to a whirlwind of ideas, every bride attending The Wonderful World of Weddings Show will receive a bridal bag. This will include a copy of Premier Bride magazine to help guide them as they plan their perfect wedding. Amanda says, “You can use the bag to collect all the available handouts, brochures, coupons, and giveaways.”

Doors will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days of the show, which Amanda says provides sufficient time for chatting with vendors, participating in caterers’ tastings, and enjoying the live fashion show. She recommends that attendees review the floorplan and the list of exhibitors ahead of time, which will be posted to the event website in late December.

Amanda also says there are several things you should bring on the day of the show: a notebook, planner, and/or cellphone for scheduling appointments and taking notes; color samples or fabric swatches if you’ve already decided on your theme and color palette; and your address labels for an easy way to enter giveaways and prize drawings.

“Buy your tickets early!” she suggests. “You’ll save time at the entrance and receive your tickets at a discounted price when purchasing in advance.” While tickets at the gate will be $16 per person, advance tickets are only $14, and children 12 and under are free.

The Exposition Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park, located at 8200 W. Greenfield Avenue in West Allis, does not allow food or drink carry-ins, but there will be food and beverage options for purchase. The parking charge is $10 per vehicle or $5 per motorcycle, and parking passes can be purchased online in advance or at the event.

“Wear comfortable shoes and dress light,” she says. “With more than 100 exhibitors, you’ll have lots of ground to cover!”
