A snowy celebration with grays, sages, and dusty blue tones

How They Met

Megan and Trent met over a friend’s Facetime call. The next day, Megan posted on social media about the wedding she attended the night before. Trent commented “just wait for ours”. The rest is history.

How They Got Engaged

“Trent and I were traveling in Ireland. On the fourth day of our vacation, we visited the Cliffs of Moher. After a beautiful hike up the cliffs, he held me in his arms, whispered a bunch of romantic things, and then got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage.”

The Planning Process

Wedding Date: January 20, 2024
Guest Count: 190
Style/Theme: Elegance, classic winter wedding
Wedding Colors: Gray, sage green, dusty blue

What was your favorite design?

“The venue itself was incredibly beautiful. On top of that, my aunt did all the flowers/décor/centerpieces which made the environment and aesthetics. We also did giant letters of our last name which was such a fun touch.”

Weddings Looks

Dress: Stella York (Australian designer) from Eva’s Bridal Center

How many dresses did you try on?

“I went to two different shops and tried about 5-10 dresses at each spot. There was one dress at each shop, but the minute I put on my wedding dress I knew it was the one.”

Hair and Makeup: Kristin with Beauty Unveiled by Tia

“Kristin was incredible. Kristin had a personalized “Mrs. Leon” robe, a personalized “Mrs. Leon” water bottle, and a personalized “Mrs. Leon” gift bag which had all emergency kit goodies in there. She did an incredible skin care routine the morning of the wedding. My trial and day of hair and make up turned out incredible! Kristin is amazing!!

Menswear: Jason Louis Men’s Clothing in Green Bay, WI

Ceremony Details

Location: 1896 Room at Club at Lac La Belle

“The ceremony was our favorite part of the day. Saying our own vows was the most special part. We also had the mother of the groom say a prayer and the grandmother of the groom sing a song during our ceremony.”

Photographer: Jennifer Raye Photography

“We did all our photos at the venue. However we were adventurous and hiked in the snow to get some stunning snowy photos. Trent carried me on his back the majority of the way! Jennifer’s work is incredible (as you can see). She captured our day perfectly. She was so relaxed and chill which made the wedding day that much more enjoyable. She was also down to do anything for our photos including trekking through 2 feet high snow.”

Reception Details

Location: The Carriage House at Club at Lac La Belle

“We toured around 20 venues all over the state and the minute we walked into our venue we fell in love. The landscape, the buildings, the natural décor was all exactly what we were looking for.”

Food and Drink: The Carriage House at Club at Lac La Belle

“We did a buffet style dinner with tenderloin tips, parmesan chicken breast, garlic whipped potatoes, risotto, Mediterranean pasta salad, etc. We had a signature drink of Moscow Mules and named it after our dogs Blu and Sadie. The name of our drink was “Something old, something new, something Sadie, something Blu”. We both aren’t big cake people, so we had a dessert table with cupcakes and cookies. Damsels restaurant in Beaver Dam for cookies – best cookies I have ever had!”

Music & Entertainment: David Charles Productions

“This DJ company was incredible. We had Joey and he led the entire day and kept everything on time. The DJ system literally was the heart and soul of our organization that day. On top of that they’re mic system was top notch and everyone was able to hear the ceremony, speeches, etc very well. They also played incredible music and kept the party rolling until the last minute.”

Dance Lessons: Absolute Danz in Menasha, WI
First Dance Song: “Sweet Symphony” by Joy Oladokun and Chris Stapleton

“We had such a fun reception. Our venue served drinks on a platter during cocktail hour. Then when we were done taking pictures, we started the reception with a packer themed grand march (since the packers played the 49ers in playoffs the day of our wedding). Trent and I had Jordan Love jerseys and we did a Lambeau Leap into our wedding party. We had the best food and had so many compliments on it. Following dinner we took a photo with every table at the wedding so we have a photo with every guest that was there. Later on, we had our first dance. We took a few lessons and had an absolute blast in the process and the day of. The father-daughter dance and mother-son dance was also very special. We then spent the majority of the night on the dance floor with all of our favorite people.”
