With a history dating back to the early 20th century, Story Hill Firehouse is filled with warmth & character. From its gorgeous outdoor green spaces to its experienced & passionate event staff, Story Hill Firehouse could be the perfect place to host your wedding day celebration.
FACILITY AND CAPACITY
The historic bungalow-style firehouse can accommodate up to 150 of your friends and family. When you rent the firehouse, you’ll be given exclusive access to the entire “one of a kind” venue, from the lush outdoor space to the firehouse itself.

The Story Hill Firehouse staff will go above and beyond to provide your big day with everything you’ll need to realize your wedding dreams. Couples can rest easy knowing that they won’t have to worry about renting folding chairs or dining tables from a third-party vendor, as they’ll find them at this historic firehouse. The Story Hill Firehouse also offers a custom-built bar and bartending services that are bound to satisfy all of your guests.
OUR TROLLEY
We recently purchased an adorable Trolley that is an addition to our adorable FireHouse! Our trolley is only available to rent for those using the space. We can take your guests to and from your chosen hotel or out and about for your photos somewhere in this great city of Milwaukee! With wood interior, leaded glass, and 20 seats, our trolley has so much personality and guaranteed fun!
THE HISTORY
Story Hill Firehouse was built in 1927 as one of five bungalow-style firehouses in the city of Milwaukee. The building was in operation until 1998, when a new firehouse was built in the area. They opened in July 2019 as a new event venue with all it’s historic charm!

Janelle Meyer-Brown is a trailblazer in the event planning industry, known for her exceptional business practices and expertise in creating flawless and unforgettable events. With a career spanning 25 years, she has worked for several renowned organizations in the Milwaukee area. Her passion for creating memorable experiences led her to establish événement planning in 2011, a venture that has flourished under her leadership. Not only is Janelle a successful entrepreneur, she gives back to her community where she serves on the board of the Lutheran Home Foundation.
