How They Met and The Engagement
Sabrina and Zach, both from Wisconsin, met in 2015 at Concordia University. Sabrina was Zach’s Psych 101 teachers assistant. Although, they noticed each other they did not first start dating until 2020 when they reconnected on Hinge. After a couple of years of dating, the two were on a family vacation with Sabrina’s family in Naples, FL where Zach surprised Sabrina with an unforgettable sunset proposal on the beach.
Ceremony and Reception
They planned their wedding at The Carriage House at Lac La Belle in Oconomowoc, WI. The space was modern and classic just as Sabrina had pictured, and both loving golf, being on a golf course, was an extra bonus. Sabrina also loved that there were two full venues on site, should there need a backup for rain. Come the day, that was not needed as the day turned out perfect. The ceremony was held outside the 1896 Room of the Club at Lac La Belle. They had a religious ceremony performed by Ben Sadler, from Victory of the Lamb Lutheran Church. To see all their friends and family worshipping together to live music was everything they could have dreamed.
Moving into the reception, guests were invited into the Carriage House. Guests dined on a choice of steak, chicken or salmon along with an open bar. For dessert a cake by Whisk Chick and frozen custard from LeDuc’s. A beautiful greenery wall with their name shining in a neon sign provided the perfect photo-op. After cake guests made their way outside on the dance floor. Zach and Sabrina had a special surprise for their guests during their first dance, as their personalized vows were recorded over the top of the song, From this Moment On by Shania Twain, as they danced together. Once night rolled around another great moment brought the dance floor to life as DJ Parker, with David Charles Productions, played Bang on the Drum All Day and the bridal party stormed onto the dance floor with Green Bay Packer props and Zach and Sabrina wore custom “Mr and Mrs Hafeman” jerseys.
Unforgettable Vendors
David Charles Productions played a large roll in making their perfect day come to life. From keeping the music going to a custom DJ facade and monogram and the 360 photo booth. “Everyone was so amazing to work with. Our day would not have been the same without them. The fantastic planning aid, professional MC skills, amazing DJ to keep the party going all night, it was all incredible.”
Not forgetting the stunning looks of the day, Sabrina chose a beautiful dress from designer Eva Lendel’s as it was the perfect mix of modern and comfort. The guys were dressed from Men’s Wearhouse.
After their wedding Sabrina and Zach honeymooned in Dubai, UAE and the Maldives for two weeks.
