I had heard about Last Extensions, but never seriously thought about having them applied. That is, until a quick “flash” starting my gas fireplace, singed my hair and eyelashes. Luckily, it was not much hair and not very noticeable once I removed all the burn curly ends, but my lashed we half gone on both eyes. I considered myself lucky!
Putting mascara on little stubs of eyelashes did not look good at all. That’s when I started to do some homework on Lash Extensions and talk with people that had them. I decided on Liquifan Lashes. I made an appointment at Lash Boutique in Brookfield. The appointment took just under 2 hours. I was a bit concerned about that amount of time, but it went reasonably fast and I almost fell asleep. I paid $250. I expected to have one “fill” after the first full set as my eyelashes grew back. Fills are about $50.
Well, that was five months ago. I LOVE THEM! I just can’t seem to give them up.
As owner of Premier Bride SE WI for 20 years, it was natural that I think about Brides. No mascara to worry about if you cry at your wedding ceremony. Just great looking lashes for all those pictures.
I also thought about the honeymoon. I don’t know about you, but as long as I have mascara on and a little lipstick, I feel comfortable. Now I’m comfortable right out of the shower.I had to ask myself if I would recommend lash extensions for brides. If the thought doesn’t appeal to you, then I would say no. If you are considering false eyelashes or are really worried about your makeup and crying, I would say Yes. They have been a wonderful experience for me.
If you decide to have lash extensions applied, do your homework and go to a reputable and experienced provider. Have our first application two -three weeks out and a fill a couple days before your wedding. Then you can decide to just let them fall out naturally or have another fill once you return from your honeymoon.
Here are a few more details about Liquifan Lashes:
Liquifan Lash extensions are applied by a licensed and specially trained cosmetologist. Each tapered, synthetic lash is bonded to a single natural lash and dries instantly. This results in a longer lash that is difficult to detect even up close. They fall out as your natural eyelashes naturally do.
