Reception Details
Location: Oconomowoc Lake Residence
First Dance Song: ‘All Again’ by Charles Wesley Godwin
Why Did You Choose Your Venue:
“Jack and I met here, Jack asked me to be his girlfriend here and we spent many days here. This place only felt right. The yard is expansive and has a great view of Oconomowoc Lake.”
Reception Details:
“We had a gorgeous conservatory tent with five antler chandeliers, a separate wood A-frame tent with a black and white checkered dance floor and stage. All of our decor had a mix of wood detailing and gold finishes. A mix of round linen tables and rustic wood rectangular tables draped with a cream chiffon table runner. On the upper patio we had an old fashion and cigar bar with unique old fashion flavorings. The mix of dusty blue, greenery, and cream really tied in the lake and greenery around the yard. We had a large light sign that spelled “love” that was a great photo opportunity. A photobooth and bonfire with smores were a big hit at the end of the night. Also, praise for a beautifully draped tunnel that was the entrance for the backyard reception with gorgeous broken flower arches above the tunnel entrances. My mother-in-law did an excellent job with the florals around the property and would not have looked as magical without her help.”
What was your favorite moment of your reception?
“Our reception was truly magical. From the old fashion bar, to our signature “baby beer” shots, table side magician during cocktail hour, to the amazing Chasin’ Mason Band and King James DJ, late night smore’s, LeDuc’s custard cart, and just magical energy on the lake. The dance floor was never empty (which was my biggest wish) and the air was just filled with so much love. I loved dancing the night away with all of my favorite people.”
