How They Met

Kody & Taylor met at a college party – because nothing says “true love” like cheap beer, questionable dance moves, and trying to shout over music so loud it shook the drywall. Amidst the chaos, they somehow found each other and realized they had the same sense of humor…and the same level of regret about attending that party. The rest is hungover history.

How They Got Engaged

Kody & Taylor got engaged during a friends trip to Athens, Greece. After hiking up to a beautiful overlook with an amazing view of the Acropolis, Kody got down on one knee. Taylor said yes, and then the celebrated with a picnic and a bottle of bubbly.

What Moment Sticks With You the Most?
“Right after the ceremony, Kody and I snuck away for photos by the river when a stranger casually asked if we wanted to hop in his boat. Naturally, we said yes (because why not?), and he took us out to the bay of Lake Michigan. It was such a peaceful, unexpected moment — and our photographer captured the most stunning photos.”

What Was Your Biggest Wedding Splurge?
“The florals. We went big — and honestly, no regrets. They completely transformed the space and made the photos pop.”

Special Tips or Advice to Future Couples?
“Take your time! We stretched out our engagement and planning process, and it made everything so much more enjoyable. There was less stress, more time to make thoughtful decisions, and we actually got to enjoy being fiancés instead of jumping straight into ‘wedding planning mode.’ Highly recommend savoring that sweet spot.”
