Lake Geneva Ice Castles

With snowflakes lightly falling, a creative group of wedding professionals recently visited the Ice Castle at Geneva National Resort to create this romantic winter wonderland.

The inspiration for this shoot all started with the location! We knew we wanted to do a shoot at the Ice Castles in Lake Geneva, WI hosted at Geneva National. The touring ice walls and soft hues of the castle are made for photo opportunities!

The next element we chose was the dress! We wanted a modern yet timeless look. So this dress designed by Alyssa Kristin Bridal, who actually grew up in Lake Geneva.

Stylized shoots allow us to introduce new ideas to our couples that they may like to take and use on their wedding day. One of the new ideas we used for this shoot was REAL floral earrings! That is right! The talented Brittney with Willow Design made these earrings from real flowers to coordinate with the bridal bouquet, boutonnière and headpiece (also with real flowers).

To make the look complete, Jillian Niemann Hair & Makeup put together a regal, sleek and stylish look for our model bride. Keeping everything simple and natural, she played off the spring colors from the floral details.  In lieu of a veil we went with wings from Alyssa Kristin Bridal, which gives the whole look a touch of magic! Add in the snow falling and it makes for one whimsical shoot!
