When Corvina Wine Company of West Allis began searching for design inspiration for their wine bar, they noticed vintage Piaggio Apes had been converted into wine bars on Pinterest. Co-owner Frank LaSusa and his wife Roxanne had noticed these charming vehicles while in Italy a few years back. Further research found them popping up on the East Coast at weddings and other events.
Along with Frank’s brother and Corvina co-owner, Joe, the LaSusas were inspired to add a mobile wine bar element that could be transported to weddings, showers, anniversaries, and other events. They located a vintage Piaggio Ape and converted it into their mobile wine bar, painting it Vespa white and installing a decorative cabinet that can be tailored to the unique elements of each special event. It features six taps that can be hooked up for wine or signature cocktails.
La Piccola Corvina served as the enchanting backdrop for a recent styled shoot at Corvina Wine Company, photographed by Reneé Rose. Gowns from Amelishan Bridal were beautifully accented with hair by Kristen Therrian and makeup by Esa and Melissa Yang. To lend some lovely dimension, soft hues of whites, creams, and rosy-pink blooms perfectly framed La Piccola Corvina, enhancing the light, airy vibe of the snow-white wine bar. The particular beauty of this mobile bar? White truly goes with anything—and any style of wedding.
