Cassie from West Bend and Max from Beaver Dam met at work. Max popped the question in the couple’s backyard, simple and sweet. The two decided on a late-January wedding with a ceremony at the Gardens Wedding Center and a reception at the Chandelier Ballroom.
The theme: an elegant winter wonderland with a color palette of snowy white, cool light blue, and silvery sequins.
In true fairytale fashion, Cassie and her bridesmaids arrived at the Gardens Wedding Center in a horse-drawn carriage. Walking down the aisle, she carried a bouquet that incorporated her great-grandmother’s rosary — in memory of her and to keep her with her throughout the day. Keeping family as a focus, Cassie says that her favorite moment of the ceremony was including Max’s daughter Sophie in the celebration.
Cassie and Max were thrilled with the way it all came together at the Chandelier Ballroom. “The ballroom was just stunning the way we decorated it,” she says. “I’m a florist, so I decorated the ceremony hall myself. I made a light-up backdrop for people to take pictures in front of, and with the help of my coworkers, we made the arch for the ceremony. I made all the light-up trees as well!”
For catering and bartending, the Chandelier Ballroom handled both, with additional lovely table linens provided by Cover it with Class. For dinner, there were sirloin dips and chicken marsala, each served with mashed potatoes, corn, and salad. Drinks included complimentary beer alongside a cash bar. For something sweet, Cassie turned to her grandma, who treated them to home-made wedding cakes.
In addition to the more grand reception decor, Cassie also handled the centerpieces, photo tables, and party favors: hot cocoa and marshmallows in a jar with a tag that said “Thank you SNOW much!” She also came up with a fabulously unique alternative guest book. Instead of a book, there was a small artificial Christmas tree on display. Guests were invited to sign an ornament and hang it on the tree. “Now every year we can put it up as another tree in our home.”
