Jordan and Cory first met in January 2017 at Wilson’s Bar & Grill in Madison. Jordan and her friend were getting ready to head to the next bar to watch the Packers game when a guy approached them and started chatting. Thankfully, they decided to stick around a bit longer. Shortly after, his friend Cory showed up, and Jordan felt a spark immediately. The Packers ended up winning on a last second field goal, and as the whole bar was going wild, Jordan excitedly jumped into Cory’s arms — on purpose, of course!
One weekend, Jordan and Cory were visiting the farm he grew up on. When they took the four-wheeler into the back field, Cory threw Jordan completely off guard by asking her to be his wife. The moment was extra special because Jordan had never taken off a ring her grandmother gave her years ago before she passed away. Even though the stone had fallen out of the ring, she loved to wear it every single day anyway. A few weeks prior, Cory convinced Jordan to remove the ring so he could see what it would take to get it fixed. The engagement ring was the exact ring Jordan’s grandmother had given her, except now it had a beautiful diamond in it!
Jordan and Cory got married in August 2022 at Milford Hills in Johnson Creek. Their wedding day weather boasted a whopping 93 degrees, not atypical for late Wisconsin summer. One of Jordan’s friends served as the wedding officiant, which was an extremely special touch. Jordan and Cory wrote their own vows and even took a shot of tequila to make their union official. After the ceremony, the bridal party rode on a tractor-pulled wagon.
Jordan and Cory also held their wedding reception at Milford Hills. It was an incredible feeling for the newlywed couple to be surrounded by so many friends and family. Jordan’s father’s speech was touching, and her maid of honor’s speech was “just absolutely everything.” She still laughs about it to this day.
Milford Hills prepared and catered all of the food and handled the bartending services for Jordan and Cory’s amazing celebration. They even held a tasting gala for prospective couples to sample the food on the menu, which played a huge role in their decision-making process. For drinks, they opted for the open bar package as well as a champagne toast. For dessert, guests enjoyed bundt-tinis from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Jordan found her dream wedding dress, a Lillian West gown, at Blushing Willow Bridal Boutique in Janesville. She tried on four dresses before she knew it was “the one.” She knew it was perfect from the moment she tried it on.
Instead of having a first look with her groom, Jordan had a first look with her father. She’ll never forget the look on his face when he walked in the room and saw her in her wedding dress. Her dad also offered genuine, kind words to Cory before handing his daughter off at the altar to get married. Jordan also loved reading her vows to Cory. Putting so much energy and soul behind her words and looking him in the eyes while reciting them aloud was indescribable.
