I love everything about this wedding! The location, the dress, the chandelier…. OMG, the dress! I am obsessed with this wedding style and when you see the pictures you’ll see why. They chose an incredible location, incredible décor and had some insanely AWESOME wedding ideas! But the best part? It’s clear by the photographs that everybody was having an incredible time and felt comfortable.
The Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells was an impressive venue choice by our bride and groom, Sasha & Blake. This venue offered extremely beautiful grounds as well as dramatic and elegant spaces for the ceremony and reception, not to mention a carousel for the cocktail hour! The couple got married outside on the patio which overlooks the golf course and then moved inside to the beautiful ballroom. The venue made sure everything was handled professionally and worked overtime to make sure the couple got everything they wanted. The food was delicious – they had appetizers, dinner and several late-night snacks.
The wedding itself was elegant with a fairytale touch right down to elements like the quote “…and they lived happily ever after”, lots of roses, and then mix that in with bling like the chandelier, rhinestones in all the centerpieces and the sparkler send-off. The pergola with the chandelier is my favorite decoration. It was the centerpiece of the wedding and very eye catching. It truly was a fairytale wedding.
Cathy from I Do Decorating did a beautiful job. She did all the chair covers, the draping on the pergola (which as you already know is my favorite decoration at this wedding), entrance doors, the chargers, bows on the ceremony chairs and all the signs. There were chalkboard signs that guests could read as they walked down the hall out to the ceremony. The first one said, “Once Upon A Time…” and then the rest of them had a title such as “Our First Date” and a quote from Jerry Maguire “You had me at hello”. There were several in between and then the last one said, “This way to our Happily Ever After.”
Sasha’s dress was gorgeous. It was as if the dress was made for her. Her dress (Maggie Sottero), veil, and jewelry were all from Los Angeles. She finished off her look with not only one pair of wedding shoes but TWO. Love it, why stop at one pair? One pair was all Swarovski Crystals she found online. The other pair she designed herself, yes, I said HERSELF. Then they were hand painted by Nora Karen from Etsy. I’m a huge fan of both shoes. I hope she wears them still to this day!
The photographer, Dennis Felber with Dennis Felber Photography not only took the wedding pictures, but he also did their engagement photo shoot and froze outside right along with the newly engaged couple to get the best shots that they wanted! On their wedding day he stayed at the wedding the entire day. He definitely made Sasha feel like a celebrity the way he was always right there to take the best photo!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes when people start clinking their silverware onto the glassware in order for the bride and groom to kiss it gets a bit annoying, loud and overwhelming. Not to mention, I don’t think the guests like that sound very much. Sasha and Blake supplied a great idea and had a “Kissing Menu” during dinner. The guests couldn’t clink their glasses to make them kiss. The catch was they had to sing, dance or do something else fun. Not to mention it got everyone involved.
I’m a huge fan of photo booths at parties and weddings. I think it gives the guests something to do and is just plain fun! The Bride & Groom hired Global Photo Booth who came for the beginning of the reception and stayed until after the dance. They supplied an actual photo booth, props and everyone got a copy of the pictures. Plus, the Bride & Groom got the other copy in a scrapbook, and everyone signed it. I’d say that was the best guest book they could have gotten. They also sent Sasha & Blake digital copies of all the pictures taken.
I feel like I swooned over the details of this wedding. A beautiful bride… no, a beautiful couple, a stunning dress, so many breathtaking pictures and THAT chandelier. All of the elements, which make up a FAB inspirational shoot. There is so much to look at, and so much to love about Sasha and Blake’s wedding, that I’ll let you get right to the pictures.
