Wisconsin Wedding at The Beloit Club

May 8, 2023

A heartfelt and vivacious wedding of two soulmates.

How They Met

Annie and Ryan met when they were just 16 years old, when Annie’s best friend set the two shy teenagers up on a date. They ended up reuniting a couple years later, but it was like they had never been apart. They were close friends before Ryan admitted he had feelings for Annie, which, of course, were mutual.

The Engagement

Annie and Ryan went on a trip to Florida with Annie’s family. They had been together for about eight months at the time but knew they were going to get married one day. Little did she know, Ryan asked his future father-in-law for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Upon returning home from their vacation, Annie’s sister asked them to dinner at a local restaurant, Aero Ale House in Loves Park, Illinois. Annie thought nothing of the get together and assumed it was just going to be casual. Midway through dinner, Ryan got up and Annie thought he was going to the restroom. Instead, he grabbed her hand, got down on one knee, and popped the question.

The Ceremony

Annie and Ryan’s wedding ceremony was at The Beloit Club. The weather could not have been more perfect for their outdoor celebration, as it was 70 degrees that day. Annie’s favorite part of the ceremony was when their officiant had both of them answer five questions, which they were not allowed to share with each other beforehand. Then, much to their surprise, he read their answers word for word as part of the speech.

The Reception

The newlyweds’ reception was also held at The Beloit Club. Annie and Ryan loved working with the staff, who truly helped them with everything, including providing a list of recommended vendors to work with! They absolutely loved dancing the night away with all of their closest friends and family. They also had personalized sunglasses made for the guests to pose for pictures, which was a fun way to bring a spark of silliness to the evening!

The Food and Drinks

The Beloit Club whipped up several tasty appetizers that had guests raving. For dinner, guests were provided options of a chicken and steak combo plate with mashed potatoes and green beans, salmon served with roasted potatoes and carrots, and stuffed pork chop with cream cheese and Spinach served with garlic mashed and green beans. For dessert, guests noshed on a variety of sweets, including cannolis, cream puffs, and cheesecake. The wedding cake was designed by Custom Cake Creations by Michelle Barnhardt.

The Dresses

Annie found her dream wedding dress, a gown designed by Naama Nevipur, at Haute Bridal in Beloit. It was the second dress she tried on and instantly knew it was the one. It fit the vibe of the wedding perfectly. Annie’s bridesmaids purchased their dresses from Tulle Bridal Boutique in Clinton, Wisconsin.

Words of Wisdom from the Bride

“Enjoy every minute, even the stressful times, because it really is such a fun and exciting time,” Annie shares. “Everything will get done and come together in the end even if you think it won’t! Don’t let anyone tell you that you shouldn’t do something simply because it isn’t traditional.”
