Raquel and Nathanael (or Squeaky to most) met at a young adult pickleball event through their church. Raquel gives it up to God for putting her there as it was so out of her character to attend an event that she doesn’t know anyone, let alone something that was an athletic event. She’s so glad she did as it led her to her future husband!
The couple was in Milwaukee with plans to attend a comedy show with their families, which unfortunately got rained out. So, the next night Squeaky planned a date night at the rooftop of the Milwaukee Athletic Club. Squeaky guided Raquel upstairs to the rooftop where a photographer and videographer were waiting for them. After taking a few pictures, Raquel looked out upon the city view and as she turned around Squeaky was down on one knee. After saying yes, their family and friends were waiting downstairs to help them celebrate.

“All the colors and how they came together so beautifully, especially with the stunning waterfront views! I also loved the white cross my dad made for the altar and the way the flowers looked so pretty on it.”

“So many! Probably around 40. I ended up loving the fit of mine and how it felt so perfect on.”

“We loved EVERYTHING! We had a super special moment of worship where my sister-in-law sang, and Squeaky had two friends play guitar and piano. I also loved when my twin nephews and niece (all 2.5 years old) walked down the aisle as a flower girl and ring security – so adorable!“

“It’s breathtaking, which sums it up as a whole. It was perfect and gorgeous.”

“Everything was perfect. I loved all the fun things there were…a photobooth, caricature artist, candy bar, guest phonebook, Jenga cubes guests signed. The food was AMAZING and then at the end of the night we had fireworks.“

“Getting to see all of our favorite people in the same place. It was so exciting and blissful for everyone to come witness us becoming one.”

“Don’t stress the little things – however things happen during the day, that’s how it was supposed to happen (even if there are little slip ups). Also, take time to fully enjoy the moments of the day.“
