Kati & Ross’ Fairytale Wedding at Ingleside Hotel, Pewaukee

Fairytale Beginnings

Ross and Kati’s story began over 20 years ago when their parents put them both in a competitive swimming club. Their families grew up swimming together. For years, Kati and Ross had dreamed of going to Disney World together, and in September of 2018, it finally happened.

“We had just finished dinner at Cinderella’s Castle and were looking for a good spot to watch the fireworks,” Kati says they could feel the magic in the air. After the fireworks, just before midnight, Ross asked Kati if they could take a photo together in front of the castle. Kati didn’t want to stay any longer, but she reluctantly agreed. “Once it was our turn, instead of facing the castle, Ross got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”

A Basilica Ceremony

Kati and Ross had their wedding ceremony at the Basilica of St. Josaphat. “Just being there in such a beautiful holy church, we felt truly blessed.” Kati says she’ll never forget the moment she walked down the aisle to Ross in her Hayley Paige gown (which she found at Bliss Bridal in Brookfield).

Ingleside Reception

The reception was held at Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee. While planning, they attended the Lake Country Bridal Show at the Ingleside. “We booked Heavenly Creations after seeing their work.” Heavenly Creations ended up decorating the Ingleside space on the day of the wedding. “They made everything so beautiful and so easy!” Walking into the reception and seeing how beautiful everything looked — that’s the moment that sticks with Kati the most.

Appetizers, dinner, and late-night snacks were all catered by Ingleside. “Brian and the entire staff at Ingleside are amazing.” The bride and groom agree that when it comes to the decisions they made for their wedding, they wouldn’t change a single thing. Kati’s advice to other brides: “Don’t sweat the little things, like people not RSVPing. It’ll all work out!”
