Kristin and Anthony's glitz and glam wedding

Kristin & Anthony’s Glitzy Tuscan Hall Wedding

November 26, 2021

How It Started

Kristin and Anthony met on March 20th, 2009, at a club called Nostalgia. From then on, March 20th has been the day they celebrate as their anniversary.

In 2018, Kristin worked with Anthony’s sister to plan a surprise party for his birthday. Kristin remembers, “During the party, everyone came outside. His aunt was saying ‘It’s gift time!’ I was wondering what the gifts were, because my gift was the party!”

The song “Let’s Get Married” by Jagged Edge started to play. Anthony got down on one knee and asked Kristin to be his bride. “I said yes and fireworks went off!” It’s no contest—even though she threw the party, Kristin ended up getting the best surprise of the night.

A Night of Glitz and Glamour

After changing their wedding date a handful of times due to Covid, the happy couple finally settled on March 3rd, 2021—their anniversary! “The theme was glitz and glam because I love, love, love bling!” Kristin says. The wedding colors were navy blue, emerald green, white, and silver. The wedding party featured nine bridesmaids, one maid of honor, seven groomsmen, one groomswoman, one best man, two flower girls, two ring bearers, and one little guy to announce the bride’s arrival.

Kristin’s advice? “Put a lot of thought into the selection of your bridal party. Choose those who will take this commitment seriously. Try to plan as early as possible and have a support team. Be ready for the chaos that will come right before the big day, and remember to breathe.”

Tuscan Hall Wedding

Anthony and Kristin changed venues from downtown Milwaukee to Waukesha due to Covid restrictions. Their original reception spot only allowed up-to 10 guests at one point. “Our wedding party alone was more than that!” So the two landed on Tuscan Hall.

“I loved what they had to offer,” Kristin says. “Tuscan Hall was definitely the best choice for our wedding. They included catering, bartending, linens, and tables. The food was great! We got so many compliments, especially about the salad.”

For photos, the bridal party stopped near a little river in Waukesha. One of Kristin’s favorite parts of the evening was watching their Love Story film for the very first time with all of their guests. “It was beautiful and heartwarming. In the end, everything we went through was worth it. The day was better than I imagined it could be!”

Final thoughts:

All of my vendors were amazing and helped my big day to be a success.
