Milwaukee Wedding at The Pfister Hotel

An elegant celebration of love in one of Milwaukee’s most esteemed historic hotel venues

How They Met

Kimmy, who is originally from West Palm Beach, and Ben, who hails from Brookfield, met through mutual friends in 2013 while attending UW-Milwaukee. They began spending more time together and became close when they took the same business course.

The Engagement

The couple dated for nine years before Ben popped the question. For the longest time, Kimmy’s dream was to get married at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida, even though she knew it would be way out of budget. However, to make sure at least a fraction of her dream came true, Ben proposed to Kimmy on the beach at The Breakers followed by a romantic dinner at the Seafood Bar located inside the resort.

The Dress

Kimmy found her dream wedding dress, a gown designed by Sophia Tolli, at Mariolka’s Bridal Boutique in Boynton Beach, Florida. After trying on upward of 15 dresses, her mom teared up when she saw her daughter in the dress. In that very special moment, she knew it was the one!

The Ceremony

Kimmy and Ben’s wedding ceremony was held inside the Imperial Ballroom at the Pfister Hotel in Downtown Milwaukee. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were all donned in black, and the décor featured pops of pink and gold with beautiful floral by Belle Fiori. Their pastor from Oconomowoc officiated the ceremony, and a professional harpist played music as the party, groom, and bride walked down the aisle.

The Reception

The reception was also held in the Imperial ballroom at the Pfister. The wedding band, North Coast Orchestra, had the dance floor packed till midnight! Guests were handed colorful glow foam sticks, which made for some awesome photos.

The Food and Drink

The Pfister Hotel graciously catered the meals and drinks for Kimmy and Ben’s wedding, including a four-course meal, an open bar, a Champagne toast, and a late night snack. For dinner, guests enjoyed an option of steak, chicken, or salmon — all of which were delicious and cooked to perfection. The Diamond Package also included hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour as well as a fancy spread of cheeses and meats. There was also a dessert bar courtesy of LoLo Loves Cakes in Hartland and French bulldog-shaped macarons by Mac MKE.
