Styled Wedding Shoot: French Country Stylings

Bringing a French-Country Wedding to the City of Milwaukee

For our recent styled shoot at GATHER at Deer District, we at Premier Bride worked with Kristin at Natural Elegance to plan the entire vibe of the day. Natural Elegance is a boutique wedding planner out of Milwaukee who specializes in creating thoughtful, curated, and classically modern once-in-a-lifetime celebrations. For design inspiration, Kristin wanted to focus on an escape to the French countryside, bringing a garden into the middle of the city.

Wedding Planning with Every Detail in Mind

Kristin gave us the behind the scenes look on how the perfect day got put together. “To create an immersive garden experience in an industrial venue, I used pastel colors, vintage patterns, and whimsical details in the design. I was really inspired by deep blue and white Canton-Motif patterns. Warm peach and apricot tones, butter yellow, and soft pink balanced that bold-colored pattern. Hand-painted pieces, candlelight, airy textiles, and gold details were also key to bringing the look together.”

Her favorite design element: “The champagne coupe seating display. When guests enter a wedding reception, the seating display is one of the first things they will interact with, so you want it to have a big impact and show off the look you’re trying to achieve. Blue vintage champagne coupes, soft white ribbon escort tags, pastel blooms, and a hand-painted bottle of Veuve Clicquot set the tone for our aesthetic.”

Capturing the Day

We are so grateful to photographer Lindsey Cole Photography for capturing the day. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer: “I love to capture the in-between moments you don’t even know are happening so you can be completely present… To me, every image is so much more than just a pretty photo, but a moment that can come back to life.”
