From Proposal to Wedding Planning

Ena and Scott met as many Milwaukeeans do: at a bar. They got engaged during the height of the pandemic, in October of 2020. “It happened in the kitchen of my apartment,” Ena says. “Scott proposed with a scavenger hunt.” The two planned a May 2022 wedding with a timeless, classic feel and a color palette of neutral, blush, and rosy hues.

Ena found her wedding gown at Strike Bridal Bar after trying on four or five. They landed on Turner Hall Ballroom for both their wedding ceremony and reception venue. “We love the old Milwaukee feel of the space!” Invitations came courtesy of PaperWhites.

Ena and Scott have their wedding planner, Events to a T, to thank for helping the whole celebration come together. “We highly recommend using a planner and starting early. We basically just showed up and the team did the rest!”

Turner Hall Wedding

Before their Turner Hall wedding, Scott and Ena had photos taken around Milwaukee. They went to the Milwaukee Historic Society and along the lakefront. Dinner was catered with food stations. The bar was provided by Turner Hall and there was a specialty cocktail. For sweets, there was dessert by the Cake Lady.

Late-night snacks featured some local favorites. There was Pete’s Pops as well as a Press Waffle bar. For something savory and special, Ena and Scott served Ian’s Pizza at the end of the evening. “Scott and I went to Ian’s the night we met and shared a slice of mac ‘n’ cheese pizza and a slice of pepperoni pizza, so we just had to have Ian’s as part of our wedding!”

Unforgettable Moments

We asked Ena what three words she would use to describe the wedding day.

Her answer: elegant, opulent, fun.

The most memorable moment to her?

“Our first dance.  It was such a surreal moment knowing that we were husband and wife and starting our lives together.”
