Allison & Jeffrey’s October Wedding at Tuscan Hall

July 19, 2019

Jeffrey from Waukesha and Allison from Dallas met the new-fashioned way: online. Allison is a flight attendant, and Jeffrey planned to propose after she had just gotten back from traveling for work for six days. “I was ready for a nice day at the lake, which we’d planned earlier,” Allison says. When she got home from the airport, Jeffrey already had the car packed up and ready to go.

The two went spent a fantastic day boating, eventually stopping the boat in the middle of the lake to enjoy the view. “Little did I know, Jeffrey at pulled a ‘kill switch’ so the boat wouldn’t start back up.” Allison started to freak out, but Jeffrey said he knew what to do. “He told me to throw in the anchor, so I did. When I turned back around, he was on one knee with the ring.” Anchors became a theme of their wedding.

Allison and Jeffrey landed on an early October wedding at Tucsan Hall. While planning, they attended a bridal show at the Waukesha Expo Center and two vendor parties at Tucsan Hall, where they were able to sample food and see room layouts. “The Tuscan Hall staff went out of their way to make our day special. We couldn’t have done it without them. Amy was a blessing to work with — we would have been lost without her! We would recommend Tuscan Hall to any future couple.” The Hall handled catering and bartending, turning to Cover it with Class for linens and chairs.

Before heading to Tuscan Hall, Jeffrey and Allison had a church ceremony at Elm Grove Lutheran. “It was the church that Jeffrey had attended his whole life and also where he went to school from kindergarten through eighth grade. His parents, aunts, and uncles also got married in this church, so we were the second generation, which was very special to both of us.”

Family played a big part in the entire wedding day. “Each family member contributed a special touch, which made everything all the more memorable,” Allison says. “Jeffrey’s father made our card box: a blue race car with our names and wedding date on it. Jeffrey is super into cars. My Aunt Martha rocked out the fireplace mantle with an anchor, our initials, and pictures of the two of us and our dog Shelby. Jeff’s Aunt Eileen created our entire dessert table — she made everything!”

The rest of the food was provided by Tuscan Hall. “It was amazing! We had braised beef short ribs, chicken fricassee, green beans almondine, mac and cheese, and roasted potatoes. We also had an open bar with two signature cocktails: vodka seltzer and Maker’s Mark.” To complete the tablescape, Allison made the seating chart, table numbers, and name cards. “I also put together all of our take-away gifts: small silver boxes with chocolate inside and a personalized sticker with our wedding date and names on it. I tied it off with a white bow.” Everything truly came together for a wedding that Allison and Jeffrey sum up as “glamorous, wonderful, and beautiful.”
