Pulling it all together

Everything from flowers to fashion to food made our recent styled shoot a true stunner. But we couldn’t have done it without the help of The Factory’s dreamy brick backdrop, our visionary event coordinator, and the photographers who captured it all.

The Factory on Barclay

It’s little surprise that industrial chic continues to be a sought-after aesthetic. Couples want to host weddings and receptions in the buzz of downtown, and so these historic buildings will always be a go-to for the city lovers.

The Factory on Barclay is the Original Cheesehead Factory—which is, of course, a fun little fact for any wedding looking to infuse some Wisconsin pride. The building is located in the Harbor District of Milwaukee’s Historic Walker’s Point and features three unique spaces that can be rented separately or in combination: The Warehouse, Main Factory, and Mezzanine. Outside, a wraparound deck and courtyard lend a generous amount of additional space.

Coordinating the Day

To coordinate the shoot—bringing all of the vendors, the vibe, the colors together—we turned to Evenement Planning. They were inspired by the fact that this shoot is for our summer/fall edition of Premier Bride, and so brought in colors to represent a little of each season: warm colors with pops of green for summer freshness.

A modern-eclectic, mix-and-match style comes through in the overall look and feel. Throughout the space and styling choices, we see many layers of color, texture, and pattern. With Evenement’s influence, the other vendors were able to work together, thinking outside the box to bring our wedding shoot to life.

Behind the Lens

What is a photo shoot without a photographer? We are so thankful to have had DeGroot Film Co. on hand to capture the day. As our talented artists and vendors worked together to bring a unique and vibrant vision to life, Katie from DeGroot Film Co.  made those moments immortal on film. “Wisconsin needs more weddings like this!” DeGroot says. We quite agree.
