Sheboygan Falls Wedding at Pinehurst Farms

A classic, simple, elegant Wisconsin wedding

The Beginning

It was love at first swipe for Julia and Ben, who serendipitously met on Tinder during the 2020 pandemic. After talking to each other for a few days, they met up in Menomonee Falls for a long walk, dinner, drinks, and a movie. The night of their first date, they both deleted the app from their phones, exchanged numbers, and the rest is history! The pair became engaged a couple years later shortly before Christmas 2022. Julia had just returned home from a work trip, and as she and Ben were sitting in the living room catching up before meeting her mom and brother for dinner, he pointed to the Christmas tree and asked, “What’s that on the star?” Julia looked up and saw a diamond engagement ring hanging off of the tree topper. It was a perfectly intimate moment.

The Celebration

Julia and Ben tied the knot at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms in Sheboygan Falls in July 2023. They toured the venue in February 2023, when there were several inches of snow on the ground, but the winter wonderland didn’t stop them from knowing it was perfect for their big day. The venue features picturesque scenery and plenty of space. Their outdoor ceremony was short, sweet, and very meaningful. Their officiant, Jake, weaved in remembrances of loved ones, Bible verses, and samples of more traditional vows. The party continued at The Manor at Pinehurst Farms. The newlyweds shared their first dance to the song “Forever Like That” by Ben Rector. The laidback reception was filled with great music courtesy of Ring Tunes, a fun photo booth, and cigars on the patio for guests to enjoy.

The Décor

The décor for Julia and Ben’s wedding was romantic, simple, and elegant. The color palette consisted of navy blue, coral, green, and white. There was a beautiful memorial table that honored all of the family members who weren’t able to be there. The table centerpieces featured hand-carved crosses crafted by Julia’s cousin.

The Food and Drinks

For the main course, guests were served plated dinners with an option of beef tenderloin, salmon, and stuffed chicken, plus a side salad and fresh rolls. Cocktail hour bites included a crudité platter and a charcuterie board. Julia and Ben’s signature cocktails were a special tap beer (his) and a Moscow mule (hers). The wedding cakes, both designed by Simma’s Bakery, were a cheesecake for the cake cutting ritual and a chocolate cake with raspberry, ganache, and buttercream frosting.

The Photos

Julia attended Wonderful World of Weddings in January 2023, where she met plenty of local vendors, including their engagement and wedding photographer, Allysha Noelle. Allysha captured all of the special moments of Julia and Ben’s best day. The couple and the bridal party took tons of photos outside on the golf course.

The Look

Julia found her dream wedding dress at Brides by Young in Schaumburg, Illinois. “I went into dress shopping with a small idea of what I thought I wanted, but once I tried it on I knew it was the one!” she shared. “I felt so beautiful and very comfortable, and it encompassed the style I was looking for.” The bride’s and bridesmaids’ hair and makeup were done by Beauty Unveiled by Tia. The bride wore jewelry from Sienna Moon and spritzed on custom-made perfume by Pure Love Essences. Ben’s tux was from DuBois Formalwear.
